Profile - Sonia Reynolds ACA CTA

Rumour has it that Accountants are meant to be boring. Although I have always wanted to be an accountant, I certainly don’t feel that I fall into that category!

I have worked with SME clients since the late 1980’s on both accountancy and tax matters, having trained in a medium size firm. Whilst a lot of my experience is in general accountancy, I am one of only a few northern accountants to have successfully completed specialist training on accountancy and tax matters as they affect those working as Consultants.

One of my strengths is that I love getting to know clients and their businesses. I get a buzz from understanding what financial issues they face, and how I can help, what financially makes them tick, and from saving them tax!

I want our Practice to really become a business partner for our clients, to give them the advice they need and help them to grow in whatever way they want. The team are trained to provide clients with friendly and timely advise.

Away from work I am busy with family life, but I also like a personal sporty challenge, which have included half marathons, league cricket, and white water rafting in the Rockies. More recently this included cycling from London to Paris, and from home to Amsterdam with these generally rounded off by a couple of drinks with friends, or a G & T from my gin collection of over 100 different gins! Other (healthier) hobbies, include growing vegetables, walking and travelling.
